Video Summary
The webinar introduced the AANN and ABNN Spine Certificate Program, an online, self-paced educational program designed to build foundational and advanced knowledge for caring for people with spinal disease or injury. It is open to the interdisciplinary care team, including nurses, advanced practice providers, therapists, and support staff, and addresses inpatient and outpatient care.

The program includes eight modules covering spinal anatomy; disorders and injuries; diagnosis and assessment; management and treatment; pain management; education and self-management; special populations; and quality measures for spine programs. Learning activities include interactive content, knowledge checks, and case studies. Participants must complete all modules, pass a 75-question post-assessment with a score of at least 80% within three attempts, and submit an evaluation. Successful participants receive a Spine Healthcare Professional Certificate and continuing education credit.

Course access lasts six months, with no fixed pace for completing the modules. The presenters said the program was expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025. It is intended to support professional development and help spine teams improve evidence-based care; it is not a formal nursing certification or a required credential for center accreditation.
