Newly updated with the 2025 CNRN exam outline! The AANN CNRN Self-Assessment Exam is used to assess whether or not a candidate is prepared for the Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) examination. Use the CNRN self-assessment exam as a pre-test to better understand your current knowledge as it applies to the certification and determine where additional studies are needed. The self-assessment examination is 75 questions in length and parallels the CNRN examination content outline.

Key features of the self-assessment exam:

  • Create your own custom exam based on the exam topics you want to cover and how many questions you would like to answer of the 75 total available questions
  •
  • Select your confidence level on each question to track how well you feel you know the content
  • After each completed attempt, the question numbers will display as correct or incorrect, with the correct answer and references noted for each question
  • Take the Self-Assessment Exam as many times as you would like within 1 year of the first launch of the exam, with the option to retake certain questions immediately following the attempt

Please note: The self-assessment examination is not intended to replace studying for the credentialing of the examination. Your performance on the self-assessment examination will not guarantee results on the actual CNRN examination. The self-assessment examination is 75 questions in length, whereas the actual CNRN examination includes 220 questions, 20 of which are pretest items that are not scored. The self-assessment examination is not required to sit for the CNRN certification examination.

There is no CE credit associated with this product. The self-assessment examination is available for 1 year from the date launched on the Learning Management System (LMS).
AANN is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
